Homecoming Preparations
As the ship was headed home, the families used our donation to purchase homecoming items and prepare the pier for the families to see the ship return with their loved ones.
Christmas Party Over the holidays, while the ship was deployed, the families enjoyed a holiday party complete with a visit from Santa himself! |
Friendsgiving The families of the deployed sailors got together on Thanksgiving and had an event for themselves. The families had a great time and helped them remember their loved ones on deployment. |
Halfway night boxes
The FRG packed up some boxes of necessities and prizes for the sailors when they reach halfway through the deployment. The families were able to pack 170 boxes with items donated by the SSA. The FRG sent a heartfelt thanks to us and called the entire project "a huge success!"
Seawolf Pre-Deployment Party
The crew and their families took part in a Pre-Deployment party at Camp McKean. There were outdoor activities such as an inflatable boxing ring with oversized gloves and Cornhole to name a few. The weather was perfect and there were prizes awarded from the MWR. The SSA provided the food for everyone.
